incentaHEALTH and Virginia Tech team-up to offer first University Student – focused fitness and nutrition program.
Blacksburg, VA., February 2, 2009– incentaHEALTH will provide a twelve week pilot program for the freshmen students at Virginia Tech. The goal of the program is to introduce the healthy habits of regular exercise and healthy eating to the new students. By incorporating incentaHEALTH’s turnkey program of daily emails, automated weigh ins, and continuous support through nutrition plans, exercise routines, access to wellness advisors, and daily journaling, the results of the program should be very encouraging. Overall, students will learn how to eat healthy in the dorms, watch portion sizes, and start a regular and continuous exercise routine.
In the Fall of 2009, incentaHEALTH and the Translational Obesity Research Program at Virginia Tech will once again recruit freshmen to take part in the program in an effort to give students the tools they need to be healthy all throughout college and far beyond.
